Beelink GT KING Plug & Play Retro Gaming console & Android Streaming BOX 256GB SD

This is the latest and one of our favorite pieces of hardware from Beelink, the GT King, not to be confused with the generic version of the super console x knockoff iteration of this system, these Android boxes are truly the King of small emulation media boxes, they've been updated with Amlogic 922x6 cores of CPU power and 4GB of DDR4 RAM and capable of emulating better than the Raspberry Pi 4 4/8GB version, even able to now emulate over 50 systems and 28k titles up to PS1, N64, DC, NDS and older generation systems with better frame rates.

Systems that are playable with this hardware includes the following: Amstrad CPC, final burn, Mame, Atari 800, 2600, 5200, 7800, lynx, Wonder Swan color, CPS I-III, commodore 64, scumvm, intellivision, MSX, vectrex, PC engine turbo graphics 16, PC engine turbo graphics CD, famicom, SNES, nes, famicom disc system, game boy, virtual boy, n64, game boy color, game boy advance, NDS, 3DO, openbor, atomiswave, sg1000, Sega Master system, game gear, Genesis mega drive, 32x, Sega cd, Sega saturn, dreamcast, naomi, ZX spectrum Sinclair, neo geo, neo Geo pocket, neo Geo pocket color, Solarus, ps1, psp, PS minis.

Upon testing this hardware on custom software with the latest updated Retroarch cores (not the stock Chinese version) we were able to run some of the most challenging titles, 8bit to 64bit systems were not an issue and they ran exceptionally well, N64 emulation was great at 640x480 resolution, frame rates were slightly better on this compared to the Raspberry Pi 4 4/8GB version, PSP at 2x 720p resolution and frame skip enabled and DC were also very good on this unit without any major slow down of frame rates or other technical problems, wireless Bluetooth support capability for your favorite Bluetooth controller to use with this as well.
What are the differences between the GT King and GT King Pro? The pro edition comes with a blue machined aluminum case which has a very premium quality to it, it also has a built-in power button, cooling seems to be better due to side and bottom vents which are ideal for better cooling and performance. You will also likely notice slightly better performance than the original GT King on the pro version.

We also looked inside the console and noted that the thermal paste required some modification so we ended up applying new better-quality thermal tape to improve heatsink contact and cooling capacity, we noticed an improvement of about 10 degrees Celsius, as always we're always concerned about thermal throttling and this mod will help address these common concerns.

The system includes a 256GB(Samsung or SanDisk) SD card pre-configured for you and ready to play supporting about 50 systems and over 28k titles, you also can take out the SD card and utilize the Android OS with a built-in 64 GB internal memory, within Android you could also install Android titles and apps as well as utilizing it as an Android box or media center as a dual-use machine, this would make an excellent compact size media center which you can also stream content with.

The GT King controller which is included with this hardware connects via a wireless USB adapter and requires AAA batteries for usage, although this controller is not the best build quality, it does, however, perform well with emulation and we do not notice any input lag or any other technical problems with it, you will also be able to use your own Bluetooth or wired name brand Xbox or Playstation controllers with this product as well, we will have more options in the future regarding controller selection.

 
The system also includes a remote control for Android media usage, power supply, and HDMI cable as well as original packaging and content.
