We now have the very popular Retroid Pocket 2S consoles that have been fully configured and loaded for optimal performance by using dedicated emulators for DC, N64, GC, PS1, PS2, PSP and Retroarch. Daijisho is also setup, allowing for a streamlined gaming experience which will save you many hours of labor doing it yourself.

The Retroid pocket 2S is in stock and available in 6 color variations with 4GB of RAM 128GB internal space and 512GB of SD card with configured Daiisho Launcher, Retorarch, Redream, Duckstation, M64Plus FZ, PPSSPP, and other emulators, you'll also have access to additional emulators if you choose to use them and may have to change settings to your liking further but the vast majority of work is done for you. Save time by having this tedious work taken care of and jump into gameplay. Improvements have been made to the overall design, button quality, widescreen ultra-sharp display, and updated Android OS 11 which is very responsive and easy to use, performance has also been improved with better CPU, APU, and increased 3GB RAM, and we will be testing its abilities, preliminary testing indicates that it can play some PS2 through aethersx2 and GC (note that some games may run slower and a .5 resolution can improve gameplay).
Overall RP2S rating on the emulation of various systems, based on some popular titles we tested:
N64: 9.5/10 (640x480) resolution, majority of titles run well, the usual culprits are still not optimal but playable)
DC: 10/10 (640x480) majority or nearly all of the games run smoothly, with minimal tweaking required.
PSP: 9.5/10 (2x resolution) when frameskip is applied you can even run at 3x resolution, there will be some titles that are not optimally running.
PS1: 10/10 (4:3, X2, or X3 resolution in Duckstation, have not noticed lag or sound distortion, excellent overall.
GC: 8/10 using custom MMJR settings at 1x most titles run fine, adjusting the resolution to .5 or .75 improves gameplay.
PS2: 8.5/10 especially after the most recent update we noticed an improvement in performance, some games require tweaking settings (instructions provided on specific settings to try out with specific titles)
8-16-bit systems: 10/10 depending on the system, these older systems will not be a challenge for this hardware, the majority have no frame rate drops or sound distortions, based on what was tested.
Experience may vary depending on the title and the core emulator selected to run that title, playing in Android and also being familiar with retroarch settings will enable you to tweak any problems and potentially solve them if you are familiar with applying optimal settings.

Android emulation: The learning curve for Android emulation requires some effort, you must be familiar with operating and using the various Android emulators mentioned above that are included, although these emulators are set up it is the user's responsibility to know the basics of how to use them, there are plenty of tutorials on basic knowledge regarding these emulators. If you are new to Android emulation then perhaps consider something like a Linux OS system if you're unsure how to use this software.

Where this handheld shines:
*Excellent display and sharp resolution, pixels are sharp and brightness is just right
**Game streaming, you can set up your streaming apps such as Moonlight, PSplay, cloud streaming, etc.
**Design, the design is similar to the original RP2 but thinner and easy to carry around. The start and select button arrangement is not ideal at the top right of the unit but everything else is perfectly arranged, buttons are responsive and have a similar feel as the PS Vita, stacked shoulder buttons are always ideal and it is also easy to hold, additional buttons and rubber membranes are included if you want to swap out for softer buttons with more travel.
**Battery Life, after many hours of testing we noticed the battery is very good, estimated at 7-8 hours of battery depending on brightness and use.
**Android 11, has an improved interface and intuitive gestures similar to most Android OS devices on the market, if you enjoy gaming on an Android phone then you'll love the updated OS.
