New plug & play Anbernic RG353V 256GB custom Linux OS, Android portable gaming console

All new Anbernic custom configured OS RG353V dual boot Android and Linux OS and 353VS, 256GB emulation systems, these devices have the ability to connect to a large screen monitor or television through HDMI output enabling you to use it as a home console as well, ideal for on the go or at home.

 These are the latest plug-and-play handheld consoles from Anbernic, we've had some fantastic feedback on the RG353V (vertical), and comparable to the popular rg353P, it is a dual-boot Android and Linux system while the RG353VS is a single-boot Linux OS console. 

Both models will come with a 256GB premium Samsung SD card which is pre-configured and will save you countless hours of setup and configuration, jump into retro gaming action with a selection of over 55 systems and over 27k playable titles. Both models have a similar form factor as the original Gameboy or last generation rg351V. The slightly cheaper 353VS comes with 1GB RAM, although these two vertical devices look similar, the VS is single boot Linux and the 353V is dual boot with Android and Linux.

These devices use a new chip, the RK3566 along with 2GB of RAM which has a noticeable improvement compared to the rk3326 chip that had been used with older generations of Anbernic devices such as the 351p,m, mp, and other brands using similar architecture. This new chip will enable for better N64, Saturn, DC, PSP, PS1, and other 8,16,32-bit to 64-bit systems.

The 353V and VS have a similar design as the older generation RG351V but are slightly smaller/more portable, less bulky, and have the same screen size as 351V, have smaller bezels, and have different arrangements of L and R trigger buttons and dual joystick layout, the speakers are also centrally located for better audio output and less obstruction when holding the device. If you own the 353P and want the vertical design then the 353V will be perfect, performance is also very similar to the 353P

 

The 4x3 aspect ratio screen for all units is also very sharp at 640x480 pixels and the colors, contrast, and screen brightness are accurate and provide great detail.

The system includes a 256 GB Samsung or SanDisk SD card running a variation of Batocera variation pre-configured and optimized with many features such as artwork, filters, emulator tweaks, and individual emulator settings optimized to get the most out of each emulator core.

This system is preconfigured with over 55 classic consoles and over 28k titles. Systems from 8-bit to 32-bit are not a concern and they'll run excellently, newer 64-bit systems also have noticeable improvements as well.

WHERE THESE SYSTEMS EXCEL:

**PSP: running at x2 resolution, games play well, you may even be able to increase this to 4x for some games. 

**Dreamcast and PS1: these two run very well and we did not notice any issues when testing various titles that usually have frame rate drops and sound distortions, far exceeding expectations.

**N64: usually the most difficult to emulate, emulation is much improved compared to the older generation of rk3326 handhelds, based on our testing this is a good improvement and well worth the upgrade if you own an older rk3326 device, would estimate that 95%+ of the library will be playable, the rest may require tweaks and using proper emulator core.

**Sega Saturn: amazing, this is by far the best Saturn emulation we've seen on a handheld, yabasanshiro emulator has improved quite a lot and this chip handles it well, all titles that were tested ran smoothly, and probably 95% of the library is comfortably playable 

**Please note that the 353VS models have 1GB of RAM and performance may be slightly different than the 353V with 2GB, especially for games that require more RAM.

 

 

You will also be able to use dual boot Android with the 353V by simply taking out the SD card and booting into the Android operating system which will further allow you to play Android games and install Android apps, you will be able to use the pre-installed emulators in Android with your data card.

You will also be able to connect this device to an HDMI-supported monitor or TV (mini HDMI adapter not included)

Two color variations are available in Gray and transparent black, these systems also come with a protective screen that you can install.
